GENERAL OBJECTIVES
- Enable the students to read and enjoy the
supplementary for pleasure As a useful leisure time activity
- Make them to learn grammar items

some simple sentences to share their views
- Help them to develop the art of story
narration by using simple English sentences

thoroughly and use it in their daily life.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

the students to read the story the three questions for pleasure and enjoyment

them to learn prepositions it's types, uses through fun filled activities.

them to understand the kings thrust for knowing the answers for his three
questions and the wisdom of the hermit

them to learn Prepositions by varieties of lively and interesting Activities
and make them thorough in that

the students to speak and write simple grammatically correct sentences using
the Prepositions.
- · Encourage the students to perform a drama of the story the three questions with their group members.

MOTIVATION
The teacher will narrate
a story of his own relevant to the topic and motivate the students.
FOR THE THREE QUESTIONS
( CURIOUS KING AND HIS MINISTERS )
There was a brave King. He was very curious in
everything and ruling his nation very well. Whenever he met his ministers,
friends or people he usually asked them some puzzles or questions. Most of them
were unanswered as they were created by the king himself for entertainment without
any logic behind it. Due to this reason everyone of them afraid of his
mischievous behaviour. One fine-day all the counsel of ministers were gathered
at the palace. The king came and had some discussion with them about their ministries
and the welfare of the people. Then he ordered all to go and look after their
ministerial works. The ministers were hurrying to escape from that place as far
as they could. But suddenly they king
stopped everybody by clapping his hands. And asked them “ You can all go only after
giving the answers to my questions “. So all the ministers returned and were
sitting anxiously.
The king laughed a lot and looked at the ministers and
started his questioning.
All my ministers listen to my question very carefully,
and answer if you can. But you should not try to teach me the logic when you
are replying.
I went to the market to bought a hen. I found a seller
fixed the rate and returned home with a cock instead of an hen, At my home it
laid an egg. My two kids were interested to have it by making it as an omlate
but both of them did not wish to share it among them. Each of them wanted to
have it all alone . The king asked them for a solution but none of their
answers we're not suitable and opt for him. So he captured and them in the prison.
They will be released only the king is satisfied with the answer. Now the king
is curiously and furiously waiting for the answer.
So it's your turn my dear children. You are going to
save those ministers as well as help the king to solve his problem by giving a
correct solution So give your ideas and solutions for the king now…
The teacher will give an opportunity to all
the students to get their funny, innovative and
interesting replies for the questions.

Teacher
will have a discussion and ask the students to mark and mention the grammatical
importance aspects the noticed in the song.
INTRODUCTION
After the motivation and
discussion process over teacher will encourage the students to guess the theme
and topic of the lesson. By the way teacher announces the topic. Like
Students today we are
going to learn ” The Three Questions’ story or “ Prepositions” etc.

GUIDED READING : The teacher
choose a Passage from the story and give a model reading. Then he narrate the
main theme of the story slightly and arouse the students interest for further
reading and enjoying it. |

GROUP ACTIVITY * The teacher divides the class into two groups and
allot part one and part two of the story to the groups respectively. Then he
instructs them to read, discuss and understand the story well with their
teammates, He allots some time for their preparation and asks them to ready
to narrate the story with their teammates one by one.
Teacher asks the teams to narrate the story and
encourages them to use gestures wherever necessary, He asks them to use
simple English sentences as well as Tamil of necessary. He watches the
narration, guides and helps them, appreciate them for their performance.

STUDENTS
GROUP ACTIVITY The
students keenly listen to the teachers insurrections, read their allotted
story part with their friends, discuss understand it to narrate it when the
teacher ask them for their performance at the given time.
The
students narrate the story in simple English with their team, they also use
Tamil meanwhile. The get guidance and appreciation from the teacher for the
story narration. |
ACTIVITY FOR PREPOSITIONS
Teacher teaches the Prepositions with an interesting activity. He introduces Prepositions ,explanation, then uses, etc with examples using the actual class room materials like ball, doll etc.

The teacher bring a big size ball or toy or anything interesting thing and show it to the students, Then he ask them to say the place of the ball by placing it at the various places of the classroom. The above is a model for that, The students will say it's places like mentioned in the image above. Later the teacher divides the class into 2 groups now one person from group 1 will place the ball and asks correct Prepositions for that. The opposite team will try to give correct answers. Then they will place the ball and ask the answer. students activity will be monitored they will be asked to note down the words at their note book during the activity.

REINFORCEMENT ACTIVITY
In order to recapitulate
and reinforce the learning of the students the teacher gives some useful and
interesting Activities.
DRAMA ACTIVITY ( THE THREE QUESTIONS)
The teacher divides the class into
four groups. Instructs them to get ready for the role play /drama for the
story. He encourages and help them to select their characters like the king,
the ministers, people with various funny answers etc, dialogues, body gesture ,etc.
He also appoints a team leader to guide their group. After the students
preparation for the role play . The teacher will ask them one by one to deliver
their performance before the class. The best performing groups will be
appreciated given prizes along with marks.

Ministers : Greeting king
The king : Greetings , I welcome
you all.I have three questions you have to answer it.
Ministers : ( With confusing
Expression ) It’s our pleasure dear king.
The king : Asks his three
questions to his ministers and waiting for the reply.
Minister 1: Gives his answer to the
King’s question
The king : Laughs at him and denied his answer
In such a way the dialogue goes on.
R F ACTIVITY FOR PREPOSITION
TEACHER :( showing a picture )Where is the elephant ?
The teacher will show a
video or picture depicting Preposition then ask the students to write the
answer on their note book and tell Them aloud in the class. By the way the
teacher will show more pictures and ask the students to write and say the
answer for that. The students with higher marks will be appreciated and prized
at the class.
EXTRA ACTIVITY ( IF TIME PERMITS )
The teacher divides the class into 3
to 4 groups. Then a student from any one
group come out and place a thing at the class and asks it’s place or he himself
stand or sit at any place the opposite group should tell the correct answer.
Marks will be given to the correct answers. In such a way the activity will be
carried out. This is a model activity.
EVALUATION
The teacher conducts a simple test in order to check the students knowledge and
understandings of the topic taught.

Teacher identifies the slow learners / low achievers
through the evaluation. Then he plans as per their needs and use some
interesting teaching materials created by the teacher or accessed from TNTP,
DIKSHA, YOUTUBE etc. He will also extract the help from the gifted students to
tech the slow learners effectively.
