THE MAGIC LAMP
Once upon a time there was a village named kughavur, many families were living there, but most of them were very poor, they were struggling hard to meet their daily expenses as their village was highly affected by the drought, Many people started to fall sick and die due to hunger and diseases, so the people of the village decided to bring the Magic lamp from the top of the Kugha hill to solve their problems as per their village wise persons advice, everyone knows the power of that magic lamp as well it's dangers because many tried to bring the magic lamp for the village but non could achieve it. The reason behind it was ;when they started their journey they thought of that magic lamp and the welfare of their village but soon many changed their behaviour and their goal due to greediness. So they could not bring the magic lamp as well as they never returned back to their village.
The head of the village requested some volunteers to take the risk for the village, at first no one was ready to come and take the risk, therefore the head of the village announced an offer that those who bring the magic lamp for our village can be the head of the village, and all the people will always obey and respect him with great honour. Two young men Niss and Jai came forward and accepted the challenging task and started their journey towards the top of the hill. On the way to the hill they faced many challenges throughout the ways. When they almost reached the half of the distance of the hill the mind of Jai changed a little bit, He secretly wanted to use that magic lamp for his personal growth and prosperity after he capture it.So he tried to console Niss mind, but Niss refused his ideas and warned him to not to think in that way as that bad idea would kill them and it's against the promise. So Jai pretended like changed his mind for that moment and climbed up towards the top of the hill, after a long struggle and painful journey they reached the top of the hill.
After taking some rest at the top they started their searching for the magic lamp. They could not find out any trace of the magic lamp.Jai demotivated Niss by saying" There will be no magic lamp here, our villagers have misguided us to come here,so it's better to leave this place as earlier as possible". On hearing that he also lost his hope and interest of finding the lamp a little bit. They discussed and planned some new tricks to find out the lamp,but as they were very tired they fell asleep for a long time. Suddenly Niss woke up from his sleeping and thought for himself that " Elders are like gems they will always guide us in a good way only, so I must obey their words for the welfare of my village" by saying this he went again for searching of the magic lamp with a lot of belief and confidence in his mind. When he crossed a small cave he could see a beam of very bright light came out from that deep cave. He stopped astonishing and looked inside of the cave with a little bit fear in his mind. Surprisingly he found the magic lamp it was shining like a sun on a golden table. He was so surprised and went back to Jai and told everything.
They came nearby the cave and discussed how to take the magic lamp. Finally Jai told Niss his wish for taking the lamp, so Niss accepted and allowed him.Jai entered into the cave and slowly reached the lamp very close.Niss was guiding and instructing him to reach and take the magic lamp carefully. He reached the lamp very close before he tried to take that magic lamp he gazed around the lamp ,the jewels and ornaments around the lamp distracted hus mind and purpose. But Niss Warned him from outside not to do so. But Jai neither listened his advice nor take the magic lamp. But started to gather as much gold and other ornaments as possible. He packed them all in many bags and came out by leaving the magic lamp. He also advised Niss to get as much gold as possible from the cave for the everlasting wealthy lif. But Niss neither listened to his advice nor desired for the jewels or ornaments.
He went inside the cave carefully and prayed to the god and prayed to the magic lamp for the permission to take the lamp. He finally took the magic lamp by saying " I'm taking this magic lamp for the welfare of my village". Suddenly a spirit came out from the lamp and warned him that"I'm ready to come and serve your needs, but never try to use me for any personal desires and against dharma.If you or anybody use in that way the moment you try use me I will disappear in no time and will never appear again and help you all at any cost ". He kneeled down and bowed his head and accepted the conditions whole heartedly and came out with the Magic Lamp. He requested Niss to leave all those gold ornaments and other things from where it was taken, but he refused to leave those huge priceless wealth for any reasons.Niss tried a lot to console his mind but none of his advices reached his hears and changed his mind. atleast Niss took the magic lamp while Jai carried his costly ornaments in bags. They thanked the god again and started their journey towards their village, As they were having the magic lamp it showed them the right path and helped them to reach their village very fast.
On seeing the arrival of Niss and Jai with the magic lamp each and everyone of the villagers were rejoiced and welcomed them with tears.Niss told them all the things and incidents happened to them during their journey.Niss prayed to the lamp for the villagers, they got that help in no time from the lamp. The villagers felt very happy and overwhelmed by Niss and Jai so they decided to appoint Niss and Jai as the heads of the village as per their promise. Further they requested Jai to leave all those costly ornaments at the feet of the magic lamp to remove his sins. But he refused their advice and he was not ready to sworn in as one of the heads of the village along with Niss. He told everyone with pride that" I have huge wealth so I'm going to buy my own village where i can be the only one leader, so if you like you can all also come with me " . This irresponsible speech and the action of Jai made the villagers tensed. No one was ready to go with him. Everyone of the villagers accepted and sworned Niss as the head of the village and rejoiced with happiness. Meanwhile greedy Jai went to his house with his huge wealth to show his family members.As soon as he entered into his house he closed the door and showcased his huge costly ornaments by opening the bags one by one. He informed them his plan of buying his own village to rule as the head. His family members also accepted his ideas.
On seeing all those huge wealth they were speechless so they shouted with joy. They planned to buy their own village the next day. So they again put all those costly ornaments in the bags and covered it tightly. They did not sleep for the whole night as they were looking at the jewels and talking about it only.But unfortunately their rejoice was not lasted even for a day. They were getting ready to buy their village. Meanwhile many villagers came and requested them to abondon their plan but they laughed at them and warned them to not to interfere in their matter. Jai opened the bags to take enough jewels to buy the village of his desire, when he opened the bag to take the jewel he shocked in anguish by the sight inside of the bag. He could not find any jewels that he kept before, he could only see some stones and some wooden pieces. So he opened and checked all the other bags he could find nothing except the wooden pieces and stones.
The whole family stood silent and speechless as there were nothing remain in the bags. They cried and shouted in anguish, they started to blame others among the family members. But They were not able understand the reason for that havoc incident. Everyone of them fell down with shock and fear. That news spreaded like the forest fire all over the village. Most of the villagers came and laughed at them. Therefore Jai and his family members closed the doors and windows of their house. But the head of the village Niss along with some the wisest elders came and tried to console Jai and his family.They requested him to open the door but he did not open the door as he was shamed of his greediness and afraid of the villagers. Hence the village head and his friend Niss boosted his moral and requested him again to open the door. Jai slowly opened the door, he kneeled down on the ground and bowed his head and requested apologising for his great mistakes and sins to the villagers and to the head.Niss the village head hold his hands and embraced him cordially. Everyone Forgave his mistakes and asked him to come out of his grief to join with them to live a normal life like before. Niss requested Jai to be one of the village heads along with him.He thanked for his great offer and forgiveness with tears but he refused it. He and his family members wished to be normal people like many other under Niss's rulership.
Atlast Jai came to know the truth of the disappeared ornaments through Niss As the magic lamp told the reason for that" All the ornaments taken with greediness from the hill cave had returned to that places at that night. It would not stay wherever the people are so greedy, selfish and against the dharma, so it disappeared from Jai's house by leaving stones and wooden block pieces to punish and teach him a lesson for his selfish and greediness nature." Listening to all this truth Jai felt very ashamed of his greediness and selfish nature and requested for the forgiveness again from all.He promised to ask that he would never do like that mistakes again in his life.
With the help of the magic lamp the head of the village and the people made many wonders for the village. Everyone of the village worked hard, earned good amount of money and lived a happy and peaceful life.
Thus, one day that magic lamp ( Victory and Good things that you need )will come to our hand to do wonders in our life.So try to stay away from greediness and unwanted things in your life to welcome it.
